Yo fam,
I posted awhile back about a shit test I didn't handle well. I read up on framing and the dreaded oneitis which I have succumbed to recently. I want to post an update for those who have an inkling of following a journey they probably once took.
Since that shit test, I implemented a few new tactics based on everyone's feedback and the posts around the sub for starting at square one with women. When I was self-reflecting, this is a fundamental skill I am lacking currently.
More so, since losing my weight, I have been lax in actually lifting and getting a thick neck. I joined a gym and now have a 3 day routine that I am sticking too. No girl wants a whimpy neck. I get it. When in doubt, lift and then lift some more.
Regardless, I've had successes recently at coffee shops in the following ways:
-
Occupying myself with legitimate work that I have to accomplish.
-
Preparing myself with an icebreaker that asks an open-ended question or opinion.
-
Keeping conversations brief, but follow up via asking for a number and only a number, not a Snapchat, WhatsApp, or Instagram handle.
I'm teeing up my social life better by actively pursuing events and having plans in advance so I am not stuck with having to scramble for something. It definitely helps do the heavy lifting when asking girls out. Also, I find a good barometer of my SMV is being shit tested more as it definitely appears that women are interested and want to measure me against whoever is gunning for them currently.
Does anyone have more helpful links besides the sidebar and secondary resources? Love to hear more experiences/tips.
I'm soldiering on. More to follow.
