There are ideas out there that revolve around the concept of "Trust the process". If you know what that means, I got a question. I failed to find a mission that really feels like it is good enough for my full effort.
Can my mission be the process? Obviously yes but I am asking your relevant experience to argue if that would be feasible and useful.
Something like "my mission is to work for X, Y, Z, T every single day". At the same time, my mission is to maximize my self respect, fulfilment, self love through making sure I am putting in A, B, C, D hours for my goals at any given day. As long as I hit my minimum levels of effort for each area of my life, for the day, I can peacefully relax in that day.
If I make my mission a goal, then I cannot stop working towards that goal. I dream about it, I spend my everything towards that goal and I can't relax. Chasing big missions in past made me someone who cannot relax and live in the moment. I feel guilty when I'm not making money or gaining something tangible. So if I make the process my mission, then I can allow myself to relax as a part of the process.
