There is a misconception regarding game which says that looks matter less than your Game itself. Be funny, cocky, confident, etc. - all that will trump subpar looks. (This is actually a teaching in many PUA circles.) But it's all complete horseshit.

The bottomline is that Game is secondary and largely only a compensation for lack of looks. If a guy is truly physically fit and attractive, the levels of Game needed to land a chick are quite low. He basically just needs to say hi and not be a complete sperg, which isn't hard.

But for the guy who is not that attractive, he must supplement his approach with Game to make up for his shitty appearance and lack of vaginal tingles. It's true, many PUA sites and speakers will encourage guys to "hit the gym and get a better wardrobe" but at the end of the day, most of that shit is still secondary to base looks and genetics.

You can't take someone who looks like Bill Gates, throw him in an Armani and take off his goofy glasses and put some gel in his hair and expect him to clean up. It's just not going to happen, even if he learns every trick in the book for approaching chicks out of his league.

In our increasingly hypergamous, non-monogamous slut culture, I'm confused where this idea came from that looks barely matter provided you just have Game. Was this simply to sell books, tapes, CDs and seminars to lonely nerd men by PUA gurus? What do you think?
