She's just trying to say she can't see you tonight but wants you to keep thinking about her. This isn't even a test just base human interaction. Little less autism would do u right bro, no offense. Just say that sucks but no worries we'll meet up soon, then text her when u feel like it.

Comfort test.

Wanted to see you but pointing out that she's busy and won't have time. Good time to text her and set something up for tomorrow or the next day.

As a random text that involves a small invitation to care about her work life, it is a very minor comfort and temperature test.

She's curious to see how you respond. An effusive response does run the risk of stepping in shit, even though it's not meant to be a shit test. At the same time, you have to show a minimum interest or you risk pushing her away. Unless you feel she's really slipping away because she thinks you're too good, there's not much upside in being overly engaged.

Best approach is something fairly laconic but supportive, such as the classic, "Sucks."

Downside, however, is that response will likely elicit further solicitations of interaction. Don't get involved in volleying back-and-forth, because she has already built a clear reason for cutting off the interaction into her original statement. She will use it to lay a shit test if you get too clingy or invested, and then she'll stop replying and use her out to say, "I told you I was busy. Duh."

If you wanna rub some jerkboy on it, toss out a remark about something awesome you'll be doing. Again, be careful to not get overly engaged in convo. "Too bad im goin to the beach beeyotch," would do the job. Then go be awesome without her.
