2/3 rule. you are failing it. girls chase. if she's not chasing, you're wasting time. "confronting" her about some other guy via text is certainly wasting time. you sound like a plate.

Oh... that's the first major mess up and it was all quickly downhill from there. Don't compete with other guys and if you are competing, don't actually tell the girl you are competing and don't act like it either. She has so much leverage now because of this one statement. She now knows you have to try harder and are suffering from a touch of jealousy, which is going to reduce her attraction to you. If she's less scrupulous she could easily be tempted to start using you as a time/money ho.

The reason why we don't compete (or give the illusion of not competing) is because if we are competing that means we look like we don't have options.

That second line there just reeked of butthurt, and nothing will dry a girl's panties faster than butthurt. When she said "awwwwwwwww :(" that was not a message from her to you, but a message from her to herself saying "aww, damn... I accidentally hooked up with a little bitch. I thought this guy might have been different. What was I thinking!?"

I'm the first to admit my text game sucks balls, but here is how I would have handled it:

Her: I'm seeing anchorman next weekend.
Me: So your seeing it for your birthday ?
Her: Yep so excited !
Me : Sounds like a good way to celebrate. so when u free next ?
Her : I donno Flat out with moving
Me : Totally understood. Moving sucks. Call me when you get your schedule figured out.

Then stop. If she doesn't offer a time or date as an alternative, don't waste your time. If she wants to see you, she will make the time.

Were only on a casual thing but I'll be dammed if shes gonna blow me off for some loser, If she calls me tonight (90% chance knowing her) I'm prettymuch gonna tell her to cancel it with this guy cos I'm gonna take her out on a proper Birthday date. You're letting this become too personal. This isn't casual if this is how you feel about it. Tonight, if she calls, I recommend that you be busy. If you aren't busy, fake it. Don't answer and respond back with a text about a half hour later that simply says "kind of occupied at the moment..." and do not respond any more at all until at least noon tomorrow. Don't give specific details because being vague about your plans right now is in your best interest.
