My LTR and I are both 24 and have dated for 6 going on 7 years. I've been living at home since I graduated 6 months ago in order to monetarily get up to speed and work full time. My girl is also a recent graduate and works full time.

So her lease has ended and she wants us to "take the next step" and move in. I am not completely opposed but after reading some RP material, I am generally cautious about cohabitation.

We don't have a bad relationship. Shes obviously no unicorn but a lot of typical red flags aren't super prevelant. She's also very responsible and has had my back many times previously. But we've had our fair share of rough times mostly during our college years.

I guess my main issue is that I was so sheltered growing up so I never got to do much on my own. Also I only lived in my own space for 2 years in uni then commuted the rest bc of high col. I'm generally pretty lacking in the solid group of friends department too. I guess the idea of going from living at home straight to shacking up with my girl is freaking me out.

Ive suggested living apart but she can't fathom why I would want to when we could save a lot living together which is true. I know ultimately I would know best based on the nature of our relationship but I just want other guy's take on sharing a space with your girl at this age when you're generally inexperienced.
