What I can say from my experiences :

Huge sex drives (often want to be dominated)
Emotionnal rollercoaster
Huge fear of abandonment (permanent doubt and trust issues)
Self-harm (from injuries to suicide attempt)

Sex was great, shit tests were almost permanent. Don't even try if you aren't ready to be perfectly stoic and have a perfect frame (even when she says she's going to kill herself). She will use any weakness you show against you. It's useless to blame her for her behavior, it won't have any impact.

Everyone here is talking about BPD, that's not the same as daddy issues, it's more like one of the possible results of daddy issues on steroids. Daddy issues can be extremely subtle and usually are, because most people have them to some extent. It's a very wide scale.

Daddy issues = BPD nearly 100% of the time.

YMMV, but the last thing you probably need is being threatened with physical violence or some allegation. Or worse, trying to get you to commit.

1) A girl I "dated" 10+ years ago hated me because I was "like her father." He and I actually got along really well and have drank together on multiple occasions.

Two months ago, she invited me over to her new apartment. She went on to talk about how "fucked up she was back when," and how she's "so much better now."

Five minutes prior, she recalled a story from Vegas earlier that month in which she was doing lines off of a stripper at some club. Before she began telling stories, she "needed to smoke a bowl" to calm her down. She greeted me at the door topless with a bottle of tequila.

Did we have fun? Yes. Have we talked since? No. Was it worth it? YMMV.

2) Another girl from a broken home. We were neighbors. She actually approached me at the bar. Turns out I was her first. I would have her over after the bar and after my hockey games. She tried to come over in the day time when my parents were over and I sent her out of the house. Ghosted her.

Five months later she is pregnant by some other guy. Lost the baby. They got married three weeks ago. She still likes my shit on instagram and other means of "soft" communication with some regularity.

3) My most recent LTR. Single mom (I know). Started as a FWB thing and we had pretty good chemistry, kept the kid completely separate. Started incorporating her kid into a means of keeping me around, despite knowing exactly who I was (we share many mutual friends). She's complacent and unwilling to grow as a person, stagnating in her hometown. She's about to hit the wall and knows it, trying to lock down the highest SMV male she can.

I have a moment of clarity (weekend in Florida with my buddy resulting in a $500 strip club tab and passing out on the beach 500' from our room at The W). There's no way I can settle down, it's a disservice to the both of us. I leave her.

We ended up at the same NYE party of 2000+ people. I break down and spend the last hour of so of the night dancing with her after she spots me. Go out the next night and catch up. We get together a few more times: one of which she sees another girl texting me (that she accused me of cheating with, which is something I was NOT doing), and the second her "not being able to get a babysitter" and bringing her daughter to dinner.

The past 2.5 years have been her and her sisters conspiring to see me. Frequenting "my" bar. Sending comments/texts about my Snap stories (several of which I was blatantly on out and/or on vacation with other women), or inviting me to parties they were throwing. Despite my best efforts, I just cannot get through to this poor girl that I've moved on. If I'm too lazy to drive 30 minutes for a Tinder date, there's no way you're going to get me to drive 3+ hours back to a city I hate for your family party because we fucked like rabbits after one three years ago.

This are just anecdotes, but you be the judge. Nobody can make a decision for you, only share their own experiences. My experience says that they'll cling to you like cellophane.
