Where do things stop? On the first date? Second date? Do you not get a first date? Do you expect one night stands to lead onto plate status?

I can tell they have some kind of sick delight in dragging things on and milking me for my attention, time, and company.

They do, but this can come from 2 different directions:

they weren't going to fuck you in the first place.
they wanted to fuck you, but then you failed to close the deal.

Could you give more specifics as to how they react when they are "somewhat responsive to my advances" ?

Sometimes it does, but I always end it with trying to pull/setup a date to my place. If that fails, then I cut contact. If I (me personally, it's not a rule, just a personal statistic) can't close the deal by the 2nd date it's not gonna work later on. She want's to "date" me not fuck me.
