Well dude, not really. You'd have banged her if you told her to spend the night.
The first time I went to bed with an older plate, 39, she gave me that line. In five minutes we were in underwear but that line kept coming for hours. I got too tired, told her we should sleep a bit. We banged in the morning. Yay.

Assuming you couldn't bang her, burning bridges is only a good choice when the enemy army is marching towards it. It's not the case. Should you have dismissed her with ANY excuse (Oh my god, look at the time! I have something in a few hours) you wouldn't have pissed her off (that bad), you wouldn't have to worry about her spreading gossip, and you'd probably bang her another time.
Even if she tells you she's not spreading gossip, she will. She is mad at you, and mad people make their indignation known.

All that said, divorced with children isn't something you should sweat about. Yeah, you did dodge a bullet, a single mom trying to get you to invest is always a bullet.
