Do not respond to her tantrum. Finish your day at work and carry on like nothing happened. Ignore her if she tries arguing with you - go to the gym.
[–]RedSkeller0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And tell her you don't take calls at work.
[–]SkimSTi 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
so its best i dont initiate upon return. (i have a feeling shes waiting for that). wait for her to reach out again. then address that i dont agree with the immaturity she has shown. then what? its pretty obvious im angry at the situation. (i feel like i have resting bitch face right now lol)
[–]throw162534 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No, if you initiate then she gets what she wants - attention. Don't give it to her. Act like nothing happened and all is right in the world. If she brings it up again change the subject. If she won't drop it then say "This conversation is over." Don't stoop to her level and get angry.

thanks for the advice. makes sense. i actually did a little research about tantrums and how parents handle them. interesting stuff.

When a girl gives you an ultimatum like that, they would think they're in a power place, but actually, they're SO vulnerable and weak when they say something like that.
Keep the frame and don't be reactive at all. And about your questions, at least the first steps into the dread game must be applied always in a LTR.
[–]SkimSTi 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
interesting. so by ignoring i am taking away the power?
[–]throw162534 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Think of her like a child throwing a fit. What do you do to a child? Ignore them and go on with your life. They'll settle down eventually. If they don't you have to punish them. When it comes to women that means completely ignoring them for a long stretch of time (a week or so). No texting. No calls. No social media shit. Nothing.

until they show up to your house........ hahaha. fuck.
[–]throw162534 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, that's a possibility. Haven't had that happen personally.
[–]TxnyMontana0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Exactly what this guy said
[–]SkimSTi 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
i can see how this would work in earlier dating stages... but when its exclusive and you already built up the comfort with an LTR. disappearing for that length of time would make me feel like an asshole.
[–]TxnyMontana0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There is never comfort in LTR!, girls will test you during ALL your life. That sucks for lazy people like me but it goes like that. In advanced LTR the test will be more subtle, but they still are there. Im not telling you to dissapear, because is irrational, non sense! every guy here seems to tell "ghost that bitch" even when it's your 10 years couple and she just had a bad day. Dont be like that but a little drop of asshole is good sometimes.

That's the point. To drive home that if she doesn't respect your boundaries she could actually lose you.

touche... note made!

This kind of behavior deserves a soft next.
Send her a text explaining why/his she fucked up. Something like "you were acting really immature earlier today while I was at work. That's not cool. I'm always open to talk but not when your interrupting me at work. Later"
Then radio silence for a week. Don't worry about her straying, she's obviously attached to you and doesn't know how to keep you around, which is why she's acting out.
So this whole week she'll just be freaking out that she pushed you away and how she should've just been happy with you near.
Recognize though, your not doing this for the dread involved in it. You're doing this because she's genuinely showing bad behavior that just doesn't deserve your time. And if you don't let her know that now, then it will snowball and show her that "when I act out and bother him at work, he responds to me and gives me attention". And you need to nip that in the bud. That's why your soft nexting her.
If you plan on staying with her for a while, when you come back at the end of the week (or two weeks) you need to reinforce comfort. The reason she's acting out in the first place is because she's afraid she'll be replaced by another girl. A girl's biggest fear isn't that you'll fuck someone else it's that you'll replace her with someone else. So after your soft next, go on speech about how she's different from other girls and that you could never replace her emotionally but your just like this, you need to chase tail. But she's super special in your heart soul connection.
Also. If you go through with this, she'll be texting you the whole week trying to get your attention with whatever she can. You need to ignore ALL of it. No matter what it is. Block her number if you have to. Then just come back into her life.
But to be honest, I don't know how well this will play out b/c it interferes with whatever emotional relationship talk you two were having. I've never had to soft next a girl from that place. The relationship has always been defined beforehand, then she acts out, then I reprimand her and disappear for a while, then I come back and she's all peachy to have me around b/c I'm better than all her other options.
What happened in that talk you two were having?
she wants to move in with me sooner than later. i explained my opinion of it (didnt agree with her) and said that i didnt feel that we are there yet. i explained it in a way that we don't handle conflicts well and i want to better myself as a man so i could put us in a successful position when the time comes - basically, she was expecting for me to welcome her in within months. i was thinking like another year+. (i know i will get flack for wanting to live with my LTR, but hey, this isnt a plate, this is someone i enjoy for the most part - and fyi, i am 33 years old)
"We can't move in together baby, you don't handle conflict well"
---proceeds to lose her shit while your at work---
LOLL
OK tho, that's what you told her. Really why don't you want her to move in?
And what do you mean by "put us in a successful position"? Are you talking about work or a better apartment for the two of you or your own personal development or what. Just genuinely curious.
K your 33, how old is she?
How long have you two been together?
Are you seeing other girls or are you mono-LTR'ing her?
"I know I will get flack for wanting to live with my LTR ..."
Really there's nothing wrong with wanting to have someone intimate you live with. I haven't done it yet but I've had tastes here and there and it seems fucking great. You get to fuck and sleep next to someone you care about every night and have someone cook for you etc. Just know that your gonna have to be running a constant pressure of dread game. So, you've either gotta be open and be giving her the ILLUSION (you don't have to actually be fucking 3 other girls, she just needs to think you are) that your banging other girls on the regular, or you've gotta have a job that puts you in a flirty position with other cute-hot girls constantly (bartending/nightlife).
Well, you definitely need to stand your ground on that argument. I think soft-nexting her is great in this instance. If the argument was something like "you need to be monogamous with me, I can't handle you seeing other girls etc..." Then I'd be soft-nexting but not REALLY expecting her to accept me back in her life after. In that situation she might just need to move on. But your girl is set on locking you down/staying with you. You can feel secure in soft nexting her for this.

pretty much nailed it bro. i just dont feel i/we arent ready for that step in our relationship. i am still bettering myself (ive been on this path for a good year now).. i bought my own home. i have my career in check for the last decade, own a couple of cars. but, i grew up with my mom raising me... she obviously couldnt teach me to be a man. i have been figuring out in my recent years, that i have been feminized, so thats what i want to improve before i introduce a woman into my household. i am doing it for me..
i know my value in this situation with this girl. i am a pretty decent catch in my opinion. and some times i feel like she fails to see that. i plan on going home and doing my thing. will wait for her to come around... if she cant, i can accept that it is her loss. she actually tried to do this to me once before. threatened me with a break up. i said "ok".... left it at that...5 days of no contact she was begging me back. which i accepted. looking back, i should have walked and never looked back. point is, her threats don't really scare me. just like this situation, she does this type of shit to seemingly take power back. not gonna happen.
