Yes, the reason is that you can't build/sustain attraction over text/phone. Always just push back with something like "I'm busy right now we can talk when I see you next" etc.

This is something I need to learn from. It seems my disagreements with my ltr happen after texting. She reads into things and spins it into bs that is way out in left field.

Less is definitely more in this case.

I shoot the shit with my LTR all the time (not just logistics or how I'm going to fuck her). Like if I see something funny that we talk about (like an inside joke). But no way do I blow up her phone all day every day with pointless conversations or vise versa.

It takes balance. And with lack of context here there is not much more specifics I could give you.

I text mine more than they suggest but I work out of town so I don't see her everyday. I don't waste much time on it. I initiate and sometimes I wait for her to initiate. A few messages a day or less.

You always need to be aware of texting ratios at all points of a relationship. If at any point you find yourself texting more often and with longer messages than her, you need to dial it back immediately.
