Excellent. As long as you have a passive means of sustaining a lifestyle you like to live, go for it. It is much easier to pursue passions and even more lucrative endeavors and take risks when you no longer have to worry about your financial well being.

I'm retired, in my 60's. I'm financially set. I retired awhile ago and have enjoyed it so far. I can go for drives and enjoy the beauty of my state, can read a book if I want to, can sleep in when I want.

I would have none of these things if I'd stayed married.

Try it but I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t stick to it after 1-2 years max.

People richer than you have tried but they eventually came back.

Life is about conflict, and conquering and then doing it all over again. It gets very boring real quick when you don’t have this.

Every kid yearns for a long summer but the vast majority are excited to go back to school/college by the end of the holiday.

Every employee yearns for a 6 month vacation until they actually get one and essentially have nothing to do.

Unpopular opinion: People who want to retire early usually hate their job.

Why would you want to stop doing what you love, be the best in the world at it, and try not get paid as soon as possible? Just to 'relax forever in the Bahamas'? -- You'll get pretty bored from that after a month

If you don’t crave to enter the billions I’d say retire when you have solid investments not savings. I’m gonna start putting money into a Roth IRA as soon as I turn 18. I’m also learning how to do stocks and how to earn money through real estates. Also thinking about getting an engineering degree so I have something to fall back on in case I fail with investing.
