You are using porn and drugs to mask just how bad your life really is. At some point, you have to take responsibility for your own life, and make the changes you want. If "stop using reddit" needs to be your first step, then do it.

Yes. TRP has helped some people and they are no liens longer here. They are out living their lives. They'd laugh at themselves if they wound up back here.

Some guys get caught in an infinite loop. Talking about TRP becomes more enjoyable than being TRP. Or they're just too short or ugly to take advantage of it (glo for example)

Yes and no.

There are two parts to learning. One part is reading the material and studying the theory. The other part is putting these concepts into practice.

If all you do is read, but you never go out into the world and try new things, then you'll never make any progress.

For example, I reached a point where I could predict when the top answer to a question would be to start lifting, but it took me a little while longer to get my lazy ass off the couch and into the gym. By now it has been two months since I started lifting and exercising religiously, and I've gone from the worst shape of my life around the holidays to getting compliments from my hockey teammates about how confident they feel when I'm on the ice and how they've noticed a difference in my endurance. Separately, Ive had multiple friends compliment me recently for how much better I look lately (I used to have a significant beer/pizza belly, but that has gone way down in the last six weeks).

Another example is kino - I used to be terrified of breaking the physical barrier, until one day I decided to just try it, and to my pleasant surprise, I did not get a drink thrown in my face. It took lots of trial and error to calibrate it to my personality type (the whole congruency aspect), and learn to pick up on IOIs, but by now I feel pretty confident in escalating kino without coming across like a weirdo.

While physical fitness and kino are two areas of my life that have improved dramatically, I still have many other opportunities for bettering myself. My texting game sucks balls. I catch oneitis fairly easily (scarcity mentality).

My point is the journey never ends. There are certain categories of questions where I know the top answer before I open the thread; however, I still frequent these forums because there are lots of other areas of my life that I can improve on. I'm very grateful to have an active community where people who know more than I do and have walked the walk are willing to take the time to impart their wisdom on the rest of us.

There are three kinds of people on asktrp. There are those that are struggling in one way or another. And there are those that have struggled and want to give something back to the community. IF you are here to wallow in misery, you should probably take a sledge-hammer to whatever device you are using to post here and go outside.
