"civilization" changes how people adapt to their environment.

The Taliban probably does not study the red pill.

You live within a system. The system has structure as rules and penalties as costs.

It is like playing a video game.

Men and women have been at war with each other since the dawn of time. They seek to both utilize each other while also protecting themselves from each other.

Women have sex and children to offer among other things.

Men may offer sex but they are offering something a woman can go longer without than most healthy men.

Concerning sex the person who can hold out the longest or find it elsewhere has the power.

Children become a woman's trump card if the father is attached to the children.

The state now serves the interests of women through influence and or force much more than it did in the past. This accelerated with the civil rights movement as the concept of equality, complemented by birth control and a changing economy from manufacturing to service.

The balance of power both economically and politically has shifted toward women because the environment changed. Economic and political power move as one, particularly in a democracy

The red pill seeks to take age old knowledge and apply it to contemporary problems found in the current environment.

The thinking is both new and very old.

One my first submissions to TRP back a year ago or so was about this topic.

What is now called TRP essentially grew out of the PUA scene ... in particular the work and writing of Anti-dump and Pook over at SoSuave back around 1998-2004. Heartiste and Rollo and others frequented those forums, back before they were known bloggers. Some of the earliest MGTOWs also were emerging around the same time. None of the TRP/MGTOW terms were really used then though, they emerged over time.

Now, that's where the modern TRP movement came from. You could of course argue that Red Pill principles have been present throughout history, e.g. Marcus Aurelius. Or even argue that the modern TRP philosophy is just a re-emergence and coalescence of those principles.
