So, my ex broke up with me about 8 months ago. We were together for 6 months. Before that she was with a guy for 7 years total, married and living together for 3 years. After she broke up with me she told me she still wanted to be my friend, and I told her that I didn't want that. We agreed to fuck now and then but she kept making me wait for 2 weeks and we never did anything, one night we talked and I made her comfortable enough to make her tell me that she didn't wanted to fuck me. I told her that her friendship was less than average(what is true by the way) and blew her off. I know she thinks that I'm beta and don't deserve to fuck her.

Two weeks ago was my birthday, she sent me a big happy birthday message. Telling me how much she missed me, and enumerating all my qualities. A few days ago she invited me to hook up again, I went out with her and we kissed.
