I’m applying to some jobs now in IT though I have a gap of about 2.5 years from when I finished university till when I got my first full time permanent role.

This was about 10 years ago, though still may come up. What do I say to recruiters (which they may pass on if asked by the company) or to companies who interview me?

During this time I played a lot of wow and did one IT job for a few months, and an unrelated casual job for a couple months. It was about this time there was the global recession, though I can’t say that as an excuse, especially as it didn’t affect my country as much as the US.

Of course, my life is all in order now. Though I need to create a solid impression.
