If you're have a one on one conversation, definitely hold eye contact for most of the time. Be mindful of your body language too. Be relaxed, but confident.

Practice with dudes. Be mindful of it when talking to people. Dont be a weirdo and CONSTANTLY stare into someones soul. It's okay and normal to break eye contact sometimes but make it seem natural until it is.

You're thinking about it the wrong way.

You're treating the other people like they're black boxes that move the right way and have no internals, rather than putting yourself in their head, and the results will always be you behaving off.

Learn to communicate the same way animals do - without words.

Legit though, 70% of communication is non-verbal.

First step is learning to read how they're feeling and what they're saying.
