I took a girl out for dinner and drinks last night after setting up a date with her earlier in the week. Three things happened that made me wonder if I'm coming across with the right frame or not.

First, we talked about relationships a bit. I told her that I wasn't looking to be in a relationship at the moment because I'm trying to grow my business and improve myself as a man (exercise, reading, etc.) She shut down for a minute or so and I changed the subject.

I took her back to my place and sealed the deal (It was really good by the way). Afterwards we were laying in bed and talking and she hit me with, "So is this why you asked me to dinner tonight?" I jokingly responded with, "Yep, it all went according to plan perfectly." No response. Then I said something along the lines of, "You were the one who jumped all over me." She then switched the subject. We talked for a little while longer before she left (she's living with her parents and had to get back or they would worry.)

Finally, she texted me when she got back to her place saying thanks and that she really enjoyed tonight. I haven't responded yet. Not really sure what to say but I don't want to come across as a jerk either.

I can already tell you she's not LTR material but she would be a great FWB. I don't want to come across as too cold. Usually its the opposite.

Do you guys think I handled it correctly? Any advice on not feeling like a jerk?
