You fool! I can tell by reading this that you didn't include the friends in the conversation.

But if the friend pops up out of nowhere, just be like, "hey so which one of you is the guy / who wears the pants in the relationship? i'm not here to judge, I just wanna watch" or some dumb shit like that. That should help the friend realize you're a cool guy who 'gets' it.

"Is she always like this?" tends to work in a lot of scenarios where someone is being anti-fun or slightly weird. Give it a spin. I've personally seen a huge turn around using it.

Ive dealt with the situation personally but I didn’t find the other girl attractive so I just let her leave off with her friend and brushed it off. We eventually linked back up later on that night and continued where we left off.

When they do this treat them like a child. With a slightly commanding but playful tone say "she was just telling me about x, I'll give her back when we're finished" or something like that

If her friend pulls her away, so what? There are plenty of other girls there and you shouldn't let it ruin your night.

If you play it cool and continue to have fun, the chance of her coming back to you is the highest.
