You will fall in love, get your heart-broken and get fucked over, it’s inevitable and you need the experience to become a true player in the game, use your heartbreak as a learning experience to catapult yourself forwards.

I can't help but see the valid point Dante Nero makes here; stagnation is failure. And to succeed requires failure. We all fail, so what's your story?

Here's mine:

I fell for a nice girl; I took it slow because I thought it'd be the best way, and passed up on essentially two sure times to fuck her. Instead, by playing it slow, she strung me along for a few weeks and I "fell in lust" and got super needy and beta. Then she told me she was seeing someone else. Pretty brutal, looking back.

I learned a lot from the encounter, especially about my game in general. While it was good enough to get myself in the situation to f-close, it wasn't good enough to identify the signals she was giving me, and it took kind of a long time to get there.
