Hey guys, so I ran into this weird instance the other day. I'm a semi professional ice skater. On Wednesdays, I go on public sessions with my coach and skate around ice rink.

Usually the people watch us in awe and get out of the way. Also, while skating, I usually look out for people that are new to ice skating. If a guy is about to fall down, I help him get up. If someone's new, I try to help him and so on.

Anyway, I had this weird instance with a couple of dudes out with their dates.

There was this dude out on a date with his girl trying to impress her by skating. And I was minding my own business just skating around.

Apparently, he got extremely insecure cause his girl kept looking at me while i was skating.

But to me, I was just skating and trying to get a better pace but she happened to be watching me.

So I finish my lap, and to my surprise, I actually beat my last lap's score. And upon finishing I yelled out a happy 'WOOOOOOO" as I beat my time.

Now this is where this 'amog' thing happens.

The guy starts loudly mocking my 'victory cry'

MeL (Finishing my lap) "WOOOOOOOOO YES"

Dude on the date: (Mocking me) "WOOOOOOOO YES DADDY"

From here I kind of just ignored it as I just thought that was weird and kept on skating.

Now after the skating rink, I took my skates off to get a glass of water and left my skates.

I noticed that the couple and one of his guy friends were sitting around my skates.

I just thought "okay let me just go grab my skates"

And out of no where the guy's friend sees me coming and starts talking to him in a mocking manner

Guy's friend: Yo what was that noise you were doing?

Guy on a date: "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YES DADDY"

At this point I was a bit confused. I looked at the girl with a confused look with a eye brow raised like "wtf?"

And she just kind of looked down almost embarrassed.

And they just kept mocking me to each other while I was grabbing my skates.

This really fucked with me for a long time after that. I need to get better at situations like this.

How could I have shut this AMOGing behavior down?
