Okay so first of all, i know this is possibly a case of oneitis or me overcomplicating this shit. I'd still like you to read the post and not be instantly biased by it while reading. Thank you.

So this year in school , I've gained a ton of confidence just from losing weight/lifting , working against my overthinking and generally my fear of interacting with people. All of this made my last school year amazing and I'm thankful for that. Obviously I'm just starting off right now, but I've went from the scared overweight cliché indian kid to atleast someone who looks like he's going to achieve something in his life. I'm ~1.83m (around 6 feet), ~170lbs and if I dress up and take care of myself I guess im a 5-6.

So anyways, to my problem: After finding some "friends" in school, working on my game and all of that, I've ended up texting this girl from school.

I've had a little backstory with her, and would like some feedback from asktrp on how/if to proceed and if its even worth pursuing anything. For simplicity, let's call her E.

So E and me were put together into math class at the beginning of this school year, this is also our final school year. Short, cute face, a little chubby but made my dick hard. For around half a year we never really talked and one day in a free period of school I was sitting in a school room alone with her for like 2 hours. I pulled some jokes,teased her, talked to her and all of that and we started texting.

So after texting for a while, I had a shitty day , told her that "she was getting on my nerves" and I guess she took it up the wrong way? She ghosted me for a few days and this is where I think that i went into absolute fucking beta mode. Fuckup #1

I kept texting her, she ignored my stupid ass and things went it's way. I thought I just fucked up and tried to move on, however as I was sitting next to her in 2 or 3 classes, I just kept trying. Fuckup #2.

As she decided not to text me back , except for if I spammed her phone, I gave in whenever she texted. For our last math exam i almost ended up writing her a whole guide on everything that we needed to learn. This was the point where i got mad , I decided to play it off and just texted her that she should go to sleep.

However even though she never texted back, in school E was often looking for eye contact or just simple banter. I just played with it.

Okay so after all of this i decided to delete her number and snapchat so I wouldn't be constantly drooling over her. Decided that I should not be giving E all of my attention, apart from school stuff , as i thought it would come off as awkward and extreme. This was around last week, and ever since she's been texting me again but with E being the one to text first. She still keeps looking for contact in school and I just play with it, but trying to talk with everybody and not give her my full attention.

Thinking this were some IOIs, I thought "fuck it" and texted E, asking her if she wants to join me and come visit some ateliers that are open next weekend in town (our art teacher has one aswell). She first said she was busy working on saturday, but wasn't taking me serious, asked if i really wanted to go multiple times and just ended up saying she wasn't into art and that it wouldn't matter anyways since the school year is ending in ~2 weeks. I kept it playful but tried to maintain the note of me actually wanting to go out with her. After some more banter I just stopped replying.

So this is where I am today, with a bunch of questions:

  1. Am i reading too much into this?

  2. Should I just take the "rejection"?I mean she didn't exactly say no to meeting up, just that she wasn't down to go visit the ateliers. That was my only idea for taking her out though, as I'm a broke student.

  3. How would you guys proceed?

Sorry if this feels like a standard question. It's really been bothering me lately as I always try to analyze my errors but I haven't really had much experience with women yet.
