Sometimes when socializing, I would find that girls would tell me about their problems. I understand that girls try to fit people into different roles. I don't want to end up being an emotional dump for them so I avoid getting deep into their problems.
For example I was at a party last night and this girl that I know (not too well) started telling me how she had a panic attack a few days ago. I kinda just deflected it saying "oh no that sucks!".
My question is, how to I frame myself so that I'm not coming across as a potential emotional dump for girls?
