Basically, i've struggled with a lot of things in my life and glasses appeared in my life at around 15, my mom got me the ugliest glasses available in a weird blue color, it fited me horribly. A year ago at 21 I finally changed glasses to something better but still not the best, I could have done better but it is what it is.

Now I have the opportunity to go with lasik. I got the money, I got a great doc in a great hospital and my research is more than done, and my test results showed I am a perfect candidate.

All thats missing is me doing it or not. I had it scheduled in January but backed out because of indecision. Now because of the corona virus the hospital is closed obviously and will re-open in June.

So my question is, which one is better? Glasses or no glasses? I cant use contacts and never had them, some people say I look way better without glasses others say I look ok with glasses. Some days I go in the mirror and prefer my look without glasses, other times im just so used with using glasses that I ask myself: Should I just keep them and avoid the hassle of the surgery?

And honestly, I just dont know. I really really want to do lasik but I am afraid that after it I will look worse. I just finally got braces at 22 after 3 years of dentristry work (they were that fucked up) and will use them for 2.5 years (my teeth were really crooked), my face is not the best so im kinda on the fence if I should keep my glasses or not... The most honest feedback I can remember is a year ago or so one girl saw me without my glasses and told me I looked wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better without glasses. My friends some times say yes other times say no. My family doesnt really care because like they say they are used to seeing me with glasses so without glasses is going to be weird.

TL:DR: So I came to TRP, the place that helped me so much in life already, to ask: What do you think? Should I do lasik and say goodbye to glasses? Do guys look better with or without them usually?
