So I'm at a college nightclub I frequent where there is this bar girl that sells beer and shots. Every time I see her over the past couple months she smiles at me and I always attribute it to her trying to sell me stuff cause that's what they do.

Today I see her at the bar (she wasn't working), and we make eye contact. My friend (a girl) says dude she just came around the corner to check you out talk to her. I say maybe she is actually interested and go do it. Here is the interaction.

Me: Hey, aren't you the girl always trying to sell me stuff?

Her: Yeah! You never buy anything!

Me: Yeah that's cause you sell shitty stuff.

Her: That's not the best way to talk to a woman.

Me: Never said I didn't like you, just the stuff you sell.

Her: That's much better.

Me: Want to hang out outside this place?

Her: Not really.

Me: That's fine. Bye.

My friend (girl) was like omg why were you so mean? I think if she really liked me it wouldn't really matter what I said. Did I play this right? Or did I fuck up in which case please help me improve my game/how to move forward cause I'm definitely going to see her again.
