Help with career prospects?

I’m telling you, DO NOT drink the “uni is a good idea” juice if YOU don’t think it is. If uni is not a fuck yes it’s a fuck no. This is my personal experience and opinion.

If YOU want to go to uni, think about what skill you want to have. Do NOT ask yourself “hmm what should I major in?” ask yourself “what career do I want to purse?”.

Think about your personal situation. Do you live at home? Parents/Government pay for school or do you need a loan? Will you have to work and go to school? How would you manage that? Ask yourself questions like this.

Also ask yourself what skills/attributes you already have and what interests you;

-Are you an outgoing personable guy? You could probably get a sales job while you work on music engineering in your free time.

-Good at math? Then maybe think about accounting or data analytics or some shit.

-Hopefully you get the point. Look to the next goal.

Don’t worry too much about the money (loans an exception, I wouldn’t). Plenty of ways to make money.

I keep telling young people who are considering NOT going to uni, would you rather be 22 with a career you can fall back on, or 22 with no career to fall back on and your endeavors failed. In my personal opinion it’s best to be 22 knowing you still have a degree/technical skill you can fall back on.

If career prospects and salary are decent for sound engineering or whatever, I’d say go with it.

When choosing two differing careers, it’s not just the salary or jobs themselves that you must think about. You must also consider the opportunities that come with it. Where would you live if you went into maths? What about sound engineering? What kind of lifestyle can a maths salary give you? How would this salary change your daily life? Would sound engineering change it much? Would you have to move away from friends/family to study one of these fields, or to work in them? These are all questions to consider.

If you have no idea where to go next, go into uni and get a job, at the very least.

Don't go into stupid majors like social studies and arts, you can pretty much pick that up through reading and thinking on your free time.

But if you know, you're not going to finish it, poor grades in high school, etc. Then I suggest you to pick up a job fast. Could be anything but make sure you're learning something from it, how to deal with managers, how managers deal with subordinates, how trading works.

All the other stuff that you're interested in, like music almost can be done in your free time with YouTube lol, what a great age we are in.

I don't advocate jumping into the hustle economy, make real money instead.

At the end of day, thrive to create things, earn big bucks and don't pull the teeth out of the tiger in you.
