Gave my gf Herpes. My herpes type breaks out on my lips - well I transmitted it to her genitals though. -Yes I am 100% sure that it was me. Was on holiday with her and if I she didn't sneak out during the night to fuck someone else - there is no other possibility.

I'm totally freaking out about it. Now on the one hand I feel guilty (had no idea that oral herpes can be spread like that as well) on the other hand I'm worried about consequences of our sex life and that attraction just fades out. For myself, I haven't had any herpes like symptoms for almost 2 years now. She still has the typical flu-like effects, which are typical after the first contagion. Her currently suffering from painful inner burns, so no sex since the whole incident.

Just wanted to hear people's $0,02 on that. How do I maintain frame? Any idea how I lose this image of her being disgusting now?
