all these people saying "block her" are missing the point. You say "hey great to hear from you, let's hang - when are you free to get together?" If she says anything but a date and time, you say "ok cool, blah blah blah... well I gotta run, let me know when your schedule frees up" and then no contact. She reaches out again? Rinse and repeat. She'll get the hint.

as a 30+ man, I have made decisions in my 20s that I thought were absolutely correct and the best thing for me. I now regret some of them. Do what you want, find a dr. who will do it for you. Own the consequences.

stretch, drink water, stretch more, drink more water, and hit the gym again after your scheduled rest day. Fuck the soreness. Stretch immediately after your workout to dissipate lactic acid.

lol had the nerve? it's fucking weird where I come from, I'm not surprised. If I dated a girl that kissed her bro on the lips I'd be weirded out and start calling them the Lannisters. real question: why did you get furious that she expressed concern? Plus side is she expressed a boundary for herself in a healthy adult way. Negative is that it pissed you off and crossed some boundary of yours as well

LDRs aren't worth it to me, if she's reluctant to come visit, tell her to hit you up when she wants to come visit and move on. It's really that easy. Just say "hey listen, this isn't gonna work for me so when you wanna come hang give me a shout."

all things pass. you will die. she will die. Everything in life, including your experiences with this girl is lent to you on borrowed time. Accept that it will all vanish and set yourself free. Every day. The sooner you face the terror and the truth head on, the sooner you'll be a man who doesn't fear loss.

Yeah that message is soaked in resentment, IMJ. I think you need to reevaluate your game plan. For me, the best response here would have been "ok, hit me up when you figure out your schedule" and then get on with your life. It sounds like you didn't take the lead and plan a definite date. You asked her on Monday if she was free on Thursday, and then left it up in the air until you contacted her today (Thursday) - is that correct? And she made other plans between Monday and today? If that's the c…

Good info here, thanks bro. I find it really only happens when it's a woman I dig. I was surprised to find that I actually enjoyed her company and didn't just want to bang her. Just have to remind myself to slow it down. I had another evening lined up with a different woman the following night and the difference was night and day, didn't want anything to do with woman #2.

I also noticed how I enjoyed living an adventurous life vicariously through television shows like 24 and other action films. Sometimes when I watch a movie like "The Patriot" or something that calls a man to action, I feel shame that I have lived such a relatively passionless life. It's a good motivator, makes me think twice about my choices.

have your girl set it up edit: clarification: since your girl is into it, have her initiate kino on the other chick, escalating throughout the evening... have her subtly or not so subtly drop hints and make playful suggestions while you guys are all hanging out together.

Even in LTRs it can be a killer. I made that mistake early on in my last relationship, because I really did care and wanted to listen. But what I found out was that she had a huge victim complex and it made me think less of her, and all I was doing was reinforcing that it was ok.
/r/TheRedPill11/06/14 08:24 PM

I'm somewhat in the same boat, and I want to jump ship. I get what you're saying because I've been there too, particularly with my last relationship. For me, the emotional connection helped me feel safe and comfortable. I have performance anxiety sometimes, so for me what stops me is fear. Is it possible that you're using the "emotional connection" requirement as a means to disarm a fear around having sex and owning your sexual nature?

I hear you, and she had past family/relationship issues with being controlled and people telling her what to do. I don't think it was an SMV issue. I'll admit that I was lacking in the friends/social life/money department, but otherwise I've been dealt a great hand and I'm taking control of my life. You don't make her do anything, she's got a choice. I don't get this one either. My ex reacted this way when I tried to make plans for us... "You're trying to control everything" and "you don't respect my time and schedule, you just expect that I'll be available when you want me to be." I think it's a control thing - she had issues with being controlled. Edit- what's your history with her?

That's true. My main observation is that I allowed my Mom to dictate who was acceptable/who was not and followed blindly. Both made their comments when I wasn't around, so I just took my Mom's word for it. Ok thanks, I've looked into meetup but never acted on it.
/r/askTRP28/05/14 12:37 PM
1

I also recognize that growing up, I allowed my Mom to dictate my beliefs about what made a good friend/good person/good man. A few of my friendships with guys who were more alpha (aka. players, trouble makers, etc) disintegrated because I judged them according to what my Mom said about them. Both made remarks about my sisters attractiveness and made other "disrespectful" comments in front of my Mom, and both were quickly nixed from my life. Sounds like I have some work to do.
