Bad idea. Despite how large this sub has become, going open is still too risky for personal security. This is an open forum that anyone can view and SRS is large enough to have some people competent enough to identify personal data from posts and commenting.

The only solution is to organise one on ones through PMs.

This is not a new topic. Use the search bar and you'll find much more eloquent arguments on abstaining from IRL interactions with fellow users.

Do you really want to divulge your real world identity to someone from the Internet? There are people right here, right now on reddit who would harass your family and your employer in an attempt to cost you your job, your relationships, and ruin your life. And feel good about doing it, because having offensive viewpoints means it's a moral crime if you somehow succeed at life in spite of it.

Wanting to meet TRP people in the real world is laziness. Like you're a loser without options and can't make friends or forge useful social contacts on your own.

I'm friends with two guys from TRP, one I met in public when he was explaining "cock carousel" to a mutual friend, one who was going to school in my city and got into my PM's so we met and had a few beers. Me and the dude I met on the reddit now lift together from time to time, we're in pretty similar places in our lives except I have about 7 years on him.

You just have to be smart about this sort of thing is all.
