A few months ago, I made a post in the dating subreddit asking for advice on how to approach my crush. I'll try to give some context on the situation without making this post too long.

It started mid-way through the year. We only had one class together, and it just happened to to be that one day my teacher asked me to help her with some work. We had never talked, and it was our first conversation but it ended up being decent. In fact, I ended up feeling so much more attracted to her afterwards. Upon reflection, I realised that she had shit tested me multiple times (which I had failed because I hadn't learnt about the idea of shit tests where i needed to AA and the principles of game yet during that time). So the next day or the week after I think, I go to school early with the intention of approaching and talking to her. She catches the early train and I catch the late train, so I went to catch the early train where I assumed she would have been by herself (perfect opportunity) but I saw her with her friends so I bitched it.

I arrive at school and walk towards the library where I assumed she would spot me walking towards, and man was I right. I started to do some work and she approached me while I was at the desk. We talked for about 5-10 minutes where she asked me to help her with some work. Again, at this time, i did not really know the principles of game and the idea of shit tests so I didn't really know how to escalate. We end up arranging to attend an after school help session for a test the upcoming day and ended up taking the train home together as well (all of this was really just to find a way to hang out with each other).

Anyways, our next class together, since we sit on separate tables and my friends don't really talk to her friends, I figured that I'd just talk to her after class. But she would always walk with her friends towards her locker and I never ended up going up to her. And so nothing happened. And this went on for days, then weeks, then months until this day. I look back with regret as I am writing this post this at this very instance. It sounds crazy how I just let this happen after it was clear that she had shown attraction to me after a few interactions. I said I would do something but I didn't and now it just feels almost impossible to approach her.

You all might say, well just approach her, don't be a bitch, what's the worst that can happen? And trust me. I've seen and read countless advice similar to this, and although I really agree with it, I just can't get myself to do anything. I've read posts on TRP about rejection always being better than regret, how always thinking what if will slowly kill you inside instead of just going for it, how we only have one life and should make the most of it, because in the end nothing really matters, but for me I still can't get myself to approach her. I read the TRP almost everyday and have started lifting, learnt about frame, indifference, shit tests, non-neediness etc. and i pretend that i'm achieving something just by reading these posts but in reality i'm really not.

There's only two weeks of school left, and i'm going to regret it so bad if i don't approach her by the time school ends and the holiday hits. I think the root cause is me being naturally shy (still letting others opinion's affect me - im trying to develop an IDGAF attitude). I like to think that i have above average social skills, but with my crush, i put her on a pedestal and end up getting approach anxiety. I notice subtle signs of attraction from her but I can only assume and she could still like me, but I will never know unless I go approach her.

Sorry for letting this post get too long but I really hope I get some advice on my situation. Any tips greatly appreciated (e.g. always holding frame, becoming more self confident etc.) I don't have school again until Monday so I'd like to take this time to work on myself the best I can and hopefully do something about it. Willing to take any and all advice, and if i do anything I will be sure to keep everyone updated on this post. Thank you so much guys!
