I’m a Junior in Highschool, recently started lifting. I’m working on my Eagle Scout, and have a few hobbies. I’m in smart classes, 4.6 GPA, and am in sports. I also work in a bespoke tailoring store. I am in a few clubs, like Model UN and Robotics Club.

I’m currently having trouble with my social status in school, as everyone in there knows of me when I was really weird and shit. I’d like to get a good group of guys, but I’m stuck in between a group of computer nerds who I love to death, but aren’t productive outside of their grades, and they also joke around with me and respect me. Some of them do drugs and shit.

The other group is run by one alpha-ish guy, but whenever I try to hangout with them it feels forced, and I genuinely don’t talk more then needed with them, but I get shat on by the cheerleader in that group. Some of them have better social status then me and party, namely alpha-ish dude and cheerleader, and are the biggest when it come tos shitting on me, so dumb shit such as I’m ginger (I have a slight red tint) or dumb shit I did a year ago. Half of this group treats me as inferior, like they are better than me, and when I try to respond I either fuck it up or get ganged up on. When I’m with them individually they play nice though, whether that’s because they want to use me or genuinely like me as a friend I’m still figuring out. Both of these groups are very connected.

The team I’m on is a weird mix, the younger guys look up to me, and the seniors and suckup juniors shit on me, I don’t really care as they will be gone next year anyway.

I’m reading the sidebar right now to help work on frame and my cocky funny DGAF attitude, but socially I’m not sure where to go. I try to talk with everyone I get a chance with, but it ends up being around 50% that I actually make small talk with.

How do I expand from here to up my social status/worth in the arena known as highschool?
