A cursory glance at TRP would make you think that we're wrong and your way is normal etc...
But how do you think we ended up here? We had your relationship, we played the conformity game, doing what everyone else does and guess what happens... It turns to shit.
Life gets hard, people get bored, personalities change as life goes on and society is stacked that when a relationship fails, it's all our fault.
We worked too much, we were emotionally closed off, we didn't have enough money etc. Enjoy what you have, because eventually, your boyfriend is going to have piles of life's shit stacked upon his shoulders and if he isn't strong enough to hold frame whilst juggling all that, you will leave him for somebody who can

Funny you would say that, because we actually helped each other through tough situations together before, and I know enough couples who have done so for decades. But you're right, all people are the same, and your experience is always true for everyone else.
[–]Self-Making-V2 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Oh now that isn't fair, you came to us, challenging our "beliefs" and rather than hash it out, you resort to sarcasm and shutting down the debate before it even heats up.
I ask you this, how many of your friends have left a good but flawed guy for somebody better?
[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
I apologize for the sarcasm. I just found the argument you brought up to be as generalizing as most of RP ideas.
To answer your question: none, actually. These days, I pretty much only know couples (whether married or not) who have been together for up to 20 years and are happy in their relationships.
That is not to say terrible ones don't exist. They do. I've seen those as well. And it's true that people frequently fuck each other over. But that goes for both men and women, and it's not always the case.
I'm genuinely sorry you were unfortunate in the past, and I understand how stuff like that can affect one's worldview. Been there, done that. But staying open to other ideas is important, or you allow one concept (in this case RP) to radicalize you. It's the same with modern feminists.
[–]Self-Making-V2 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
An inability for critical thought will be your downfall.
RP isn't a dogma, it's merely a warning. You want to see the flip side of Feminism, go wander over to MGTOW. It's infested with incels who screech of the "evils of wyminz". This is their go to because god forbid, they try a little introspection and realise how pathetic they truly are and in need for a complete lifestyle overhaul.
And yes, some comments here are red flags for normies like you, these boys/men have gone through the ringer and need to scream into our digital abyss before they can heal and move on.
RP is simple, improvement and independence. A trait desired by everybody (at least on the surface, crab bucket mentality is real). Don't worry how we get to where we want to be, just take solace in the fact that some people are trying to heal men, because society isn't taking on this task anytime soon.

I would believe you if it wasn't for every the top post ever over on r/TRP
Somehow I don't believe that screaming into the abyss and perpetuating the idea that women are hypergamous children is a way of healing.
But if you truly only take the self improvement part out of it, good for you and the best of luck.

You need to realise how much "locker talk" happens here. Comedy is medicine for a broken soul and TRP delivers perfectly.
Guys have been on the "Beta" side of the spectrum for most their lives and have acquired nothing but pain. TRP throws them to the other side where they see some improvements and develop a sense of self but an equilibrium is found in the end.
Ignore what happens here, just enjoy the end result as the male psyche heals and successful relationships eventually bud amongst society
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Well, as long as nobody gets to suffer, sure, why not. It's just that from what I read a lot of people seem use TRP in rather abusive ways.

Surface glances mean nothing
Now will you apologise for your assumptions and leave us to heal?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
It's not assumptions. I've been following you guys for years and have seen what your ideas can do.
I will leave you however and move this to PurplePillDebate.
[–]Self-Making-V21 point 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
So you've actually seen the repercussions of RP teachings in reality?
[–][deleted]1 point 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I've heard first-hand reports of your own crowd on this topic, if that counts. And I've talked to girls who used to date RedPillers.
And what was the end result?
Remember, you don't know what stage they were at
Broken relationships that ended in confusion dor the men and sadness and degradation for the ladies, mostly. They left eventually (and no, it was not because they "weren't in control" anymore; it was because they were treated like subhumans with no personal value).
Yeah well unfortunately, TRP doesn't have an introductory IQ test :L Collateral damage is guaranteed but hey, we've had nearly 6 decades of feminism's collateral damage, give us time to hash out the finer details :L

Suffering is an inevitable part of life, if you mean as long as we cause nobody to suffer then that's arguably down to the individual and something dependent on their personality and beliefs.
What immoral ways do you mean?

I love my boyfriend very much.
Women don't know what love is. You are predators only after seed and resources. Just like I'm a predator after that squishy warm thing between your legs.
In short, our relationship is not a power struggle in the least. There were never any games involved. We are equals who work together because there's actual love going on.
In short, you're a narcissist who believes herself above the struggles of others. AWALT
And guess what; I dumped them for it.
If you don't respond to the game, then you're not the intended audience, and any rational male will proceed to ignore you in favor of one who will. Only dumb shits get hung up on the failures.
How do I exist? How does my relationship exist?
Your question is phrased like a Jaden Smith tweet.
People who are in relationships want kids with a stable partner. If you are not building toward children and a family unit, then you're in a relationship for the feels. That's "how you exist", which I'll take your fucking terrible grammar to mean "by what mechanisms does my relationship function?"
Your relationship exists because your boyfriend is a pussy who can't live on his own and focus on his own goals. If you're not having his kids, you're just taking up his time with all this squishy bullshit emotional coddling relationship crap. If he's okay with that, he's not as ambitious as other men. You're obviously complacent in dating men of mediocre ambition.
There are so many happy, fulfilling relationships out there
Cite sources? Most marriages end in divorce. I guess I can't argue your claim because a divorced man is probably in a happier relationship than a married one.
very few of you make a happy impression
Should we be happy? Smile all the time? The world is a fluffy place with bunnies and ponies is it?
I don't hate any of you.
LOTS of us hate you.
your lifestyle is built to attract nothing but vapid bitches
AWALT. Recite to me any digits of PI. Tell me what a quaterneon is, or a singleton method. Can you tell me the difference between the 4th and 5th amendments of the US constitution?
I bet you know what country Beiber is touring right now, though.
GTFO thot.

The one and only thing red pill does is to make question ones life and push oneself to search for ones own happiness. Theres is this sayin that u cant love others if u dont love yourself. So fuck off from this sub!!!!!

Both in middle 30s, been together 5 years, living together for 3. Will actually marry soon. I earn more, but we both contribute.
[–]chachaChad3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
When my wife and I were in our 30s, we felt much the same as you and your BF do now. Kids changed everything. Your turn will come.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Cool, I'll be sure to let my friends with kids know so they don't get taken by surprise.
[–]chachaChad0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Won't help. People tried to tell us but the stars in our eyes wouldn't let us see.
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Alright then :D Good to know you know us better than we do.
[–]Oftowerbroleaning0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
We do, believe it or not.
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Tell that to all the couples who don't end up as a sad clusterfuck. If you were open to that possibility, you might start to see them too.
[–]Oftowerbroleaning2 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
That was 3 generations ago. Any relationship that's not a sad cluster fuck is comprised of people good at keeping things behind closed doors. Feminism has ruined relationships and stupid THOTs like you are the reason. Let's have ol boy get in this thread. Let us ask some probing questions.
