How do I get started approaching women?

Start small. Talk to everyone, not just women. People in line, waiting for the elevator, the cashier, retail staff, etc. Just get used to talking to people. Make it effortless.

Once you get there, start going out with the intent of getting rejected. I'd recommend going solo, you're more likely to have hangups about your performance in front of your boys. Just approach women with the intent of talking and asking her out, fully expecting rejection. The goal is to completely desensitize yourself from failure.

By now you should be comfortable enough to talk to any woman that catches your eye, day or night. As long as you've been working on your SMV (you've been lifting right?) you'll be getting some hits sooner or later.

Start by lifting. Once you lift enough your anxiety will go away. In fact, women will start getting anxiety when you talk to them if you're shredded like mozzarella.

By approaching people. Don't stress about numbers or kiss close or any of that. Go out and talk to people. Find out one fact you didn't know before you met them.

My advice, from the pickup community as opposed to the RP community, the two are very similar though.

get a guru, learn a style, mystery method is great and classic but perhaps not best for a beginner. Brad p is great, jon sinn is very good, RSD jeffy is good, wayne elise. learn structured game from someone, stay away from natural game. stay away from RSD advice, stay away from the european daygame style, those guys are pretty widely bad. stay away from female coaches. Do 1000 approaches, get a cool haircut, join a gym. start to recognize whats a beta behavior and whats an alpha behavior.
