Going away for nearly a year to a foreign country, LTR knew about the possibility of it happening when we first started dating but stupid me said it probably wont happen when I was drunk and she was upset over it. Anyways, it is happening and shes extremely sad about it. She cries a lot now, tells me things like "I wont be able to go that long without you". I try to comfort her saying its going to be okay, but it only seems to make it worse... The only positive from this is that we fuck a lot more. How do I handle this situation so that shes not crying all the time. I dont expect us to reconnect much after I come back for reasons that dont need to be stated. I know that after awhile her feelings will fade and she'll get over it, but for before I go I just want things to be back to normal.
