I am a tall and pretty big guy, and I never really smile at people, so it's obvious why people don't really want to talk to me.

Most of my life right now is centred around the gym, money and studying, and I do find enjoyment in knowing that I am doing things that improve myself.

The problem is, I don't really find much joy in talking to other people that I don't know, men or women, and finding a connection of some kind. I know that if I want to be successful with girls and socially in general, I need to loosen up a bit and show my fun side, but it is just very hard to do that when the main parts of my life are about focus and discipline.

I do get looks from girls, but when I look at them they often look away/look scared, and when I do come into a conversation I don't have much fun to say.

So my question is, how do I loosen up and have fun, letting the other people around me have fun with me?

I know what the problem is, but if I feel serious all of the time how do I make myself feel in a sociable mood?

It's hard to let the creative side of my brain take over when I am focused on details and analytical of everything.

What are some practical steps that I should start with? Should I fake a smile even if I don't feel like smiling?
