My LTR and I have been having one or two issues over the past couple of weeks. Things have been a little rocky and quite unsteady at times. She felt I didn't give a shit about her and would leave her at the drop of a hat, so I toned down the AF traits and tried to be a bit softer with her. That's been helping on the whole.
I took her to dinner last week, we had a great time, she came over and we had nice sex. She told me she loved me at one point, which is the first time she's done that. I took her out again on Wednesday, we had another nice time. Then last night we watched a film. A soppy rom-com.
She started crying at the end. She's an emotionally labile person and she was having a really good cry by the end of it. I gave her a shoulder to lean on but the thing is her crying has preceded some confessions about how badly she's felt about how I've been treating her these past two weeks.
Naturally, I started getting a bit concerned and I lost frame a little bit when she took a while to get over the tears and acted a little awkward as we were leaving.
I overthink things way too fucking much. This is a huge issue of mine and one that's caused me a lot of stress in my life. The walk home was awkward as fuck last night. She told me nothing was wrong and that she was just upset at the film but things have been edgy these past few days, like I've said. So my head is just running and running with trains of thought about how she's having problems, how she could be cheating, how she might be pulling shit behind my back. Perhaps TRP has contributed to my overly suspicious nature as well.
But I can't relax in this relationship. As we were leaving she suggested I get the soonest bus rather than the direct bus I wanted to take that would drop me over at my place directly. Now looking back she was probably just offering advice but in my head I'm thinking she's still having these issues.
I was genuinely close to ending it, or at least telling her we'd take a break last night. I don't know why, for some stupid bloody reason I want things to work. She shows regular IOIs and frequently does sweet things for me that sometimes take a lot of effort from her side.
But she's a bit of an emotional person, difficult to read and is causing me a lot of stress. I lost frame last night (for the second time in a couple of weeks) and I'm finding it challenging to continue being the rock for all these storms with the way things are right now.
