Summary: Female friend hid/lied about a huge aspect of her past, and I don't know what to make of this.

Body: Women have an uncanny ability to erase entire aspects of their past when meeting someone new. Whether this means they hide or lie about all the guys they slept with, or what their GPA was in college, women can lie through their teeth without remorse or shame because they genuinely believe in their own bullshit. I think we all know this.

I met this cashier at a store near my home a few months back. We got acquainted and became what I can loosely define as friends. Whenever we talk about life or the world or family, it always comes back to how she is not interested in having any children at all. She always says she never wanted/asked for kids, even when talking about unruly cousins or siblings she has to look after. Her life history is all over the place such as spending only a few months/years in some states and moving out again. I want to really lay across the point that this girl is a friend and a friend only, I have no interest in getting with her at all.

Through means I won't exactly share due to her and my privacy, I found out she actually does have two very young children, both of which I can estimate to be under 7 years old. However, in all the pictures she sends me, in all the conversations we have, I've never heard about them or even the man she had the babies with. From everything she told me, I gathered she was a career woman who didn't want to have children burdening her down, despite her being almost 30 and just a cashier.

She is not obligated to tell me the truth, and if you think about it, she didn't exactly lie either. I am simply dumbfounded by this. TRP teaches us that women hold unconditional love for their babies, a type of love they will never express to their partners. This girl doesn't smoke/drink/club, and from what little I gathered about her also unmentioned ex-husband, she may be an alpha widow.

My question is; why would she hide this ridiculously huge part of her past? Why would she pretend she has no children, when most females would secure resources by any means to protect and nurture them?

This is my first post, apologies if it is not up to TRP-standards.
