I personally find myself stuck when I'm trying to learn something-like say coding, or game or anything else.

What I'm at here is the right balance between analysis (books, articles, anything that helps you along the way) and execution (just doing it again and again).

To take an example, I had these periods of reading endlessly about game and being a keyboard jockey and then going out and spam approaching and making the same mistakes again and again. I know what to do right at times, but I just lose it consciously/unconsciously.

I even wrote journals, knew what my mistakes are and yet not being able to correct them. This demoralized me, and then I got back to books and jacked off mentally even more.

I've seen this that every single skill in this world is fucking easy if you know the right way to approach it, I've been told I have the potential for almost everything I try (I don't know why it is, but it means I'm doing something right) but I never go beyond the 'potential' stage (I don't know why this is either, and this says I'm doing something wrong).

It's a vicious circle I want to get out of, so how do you approach anything that you want to/need to learn? And how do you use external knowledge like books/blogs etc.?
