I am 26, 188cm, 80kg, have money but also come off in a weird way I think (years of social isolation does that to you)

Havent talked to a girl intimately or really talked to a girl in a more than coworker, classmate or friend way in around 5 years.

Obviously I want to start looking for a significant other but I have 0 dating experience, how does someone usually go about it?

Talk to a girl a bit, then ask her what she is doing next weekend and then asking for her number to set up a date was what I was thinking about. Pretty nervous tho and dont know if that actually is the way to go about it or not though.
