Whenever I think about yapping my mouth off with bullshit, I think of the guy from Remember the Name and tell myself it is way cooler to be that person than the person that talks non stop about bs.

I have alot of friends but am lowkey. I got popular at a big ass state university and saw people I know everyday then i moved back to my home city and every weekend I go out to the bars I see someone I know from hs or college. What i do i not give af. My own frat calls me a ghost but from what i heard the neos really look up to me.

One can carry quite a charismatic presence through being lowkey or soft-spoken. I learned a few years ago that less said is often better, and that taking action rather than saying anything is better yet.

When you say less, you create scarcity to your communication and thus let your words be perceived as more valuable provided you say things worth saying. If you choose the path opposite the bullshitter, it behooves you to speak the truth.

Steps you can take to be lowkey?

Focus on your mission/purpose. Your mission must come first. If your mission is to get lots of women/sex or make lots of money, you need to reevaluate your priorities.
Stop going out as often; you'll limit your exposure to environments that encourage vapid or superfluous dialogue
Delete social media or restrict usage; if you use social media as a method of business or promotion (I'm an independent musician, so deleting social media isn't in my best interest), limit social media usage to business or promotional activity only.
Don't message or text people as often--restrict amount of interaction and never have ongoing conversations that last most of the day or spill into the next
Ask more questions, offer less statements
Avoid some (but not all) direct questions by answering with a question
Avoid disclosing your positions and beliefs regarding politics and religion (even if you're atheist/agnostic)
Cut out or distance yourself from people who drag you down and/or interfere with your mission
