Been monk-mode for a year and a half now. It's been great: found a nice job in the field i want, joined the gym and reached some pretty good pr's with no sign of slowing down, improved my shy nature and i'm much more outgoing and social (still have alot of improvment though), reading lots of books (through audible, much easier for me), focusing more on my studies, eating better, sleeping better

All that is fine and dandy but here's the thing: I start feeling really lonely. This was really amplified yesterday when one of the more beautiful girls at my gym did butt-presses next to my benching session. For some reason i felt an insane amount of pressure to say something (even though i haven't started hitting on girls). I didnt talk to her and it felt so bad it completly threw me off on my next set and i almost didnt complete it. We've been exchanging glances for the last couple of weeks and i just feel like an ass for not talking AND fixating on her so much.

Now before yall ram up "oneitis" comments up my ass, while i do agree that i fixated on her yesterday, i think shes the symptom not the problem.

Im not in a place where i feel i could include a woman in my life (doing a degree, focusing on my fitness+diet+sleeping etc.), but on he other hand im starting to feel the results of my improvement and im frustrated being unable to interact with women. What do?

Tldr - 1. how do i suppress my urges while in monk mode in the face of women im intrested in and that i feel are also interested in me? 2. Hypotheticaly, is gaming women in the gym worth it? If it goes sour it could really fuck with your training and mentality while there.

EDIT: Some formatting EDIT2: Comments about me being afraid of approaching are nice and all but this isn't what i've asked advice for. My situation is such i dont want to game women RIGHT NOW. Feel free to direct all venting of how much of a delusional pussy i am to my inbox if you do so desire.
