It's one of those parts of life I know that exists- I should get stronger and be witty on the comebacks but...

There is just this insane urge to either go quiet and become the punching bag or flip out & make the guys tell me to calm down-it was just a joke.

It just feels so. fucking. personal.

Not even because the jokes were that bad or anything- but rather the thought of them SHARING the joke is what really fucks with me.

I don't care if the group makes the joke and we all have the good laugh- it's really when somebody outside the group ribs me with the same insult that was delivered in confidence/privacy. This has happened in the past before so I'm always on edge every time someone else pushes a little too far and decides to share/make me a meme essentially.

No powerful person ever didn't have a thick skin- it's just a natural part of the roles. Let me be clear though- I have no problem if people were to say call me a failure/nobody or whatever that's just haters and I use that sorta commentating as fuel.

It's really when they make a personal insult or something I can't control/am unable to do.
