So this girl who is otherwise good, frustrates me when she occasionally gets competitive about directions.

I understand I'm being a bit of a bitch getting caught up on this but it's really the only time I feel my frame faltering so I need to learn & handle better. I'm always reading & have been searching specifically trying to find an answer, have some ideas but still not sure.

I'll give examples, when I'm driving she'll make comments like:

"Why are you going this way?"

"Would ____ be quicker?" (these first two are quite normal I know, but very constant)

"I swear we just came the longest way possible"

"Why would you park all the way over here you could've just parked ___"

"I swear you have the worst sense of direction!"

She says those last 3 things with a smile. Sometimes it's warranted, often it isn't and she just has no idea. She has also made more than her fair share of wrong turns, but I just laugh those off and continue conversation.

So far, I've foolishly been trying to explain to her when she's wrong, while just shrugging it off jokingly when she's right. I know I can handle this better & while this is a little trivial I understand this same overall attitude & behaviour is common in women.
