I'm in a minor self-loathing kick right now. I just got back from an exam and got in the elevator to my building with this pretty sweet looking Indian girl: I'd say an 8, 8.5 if I was generous. We talked for a minute, smiling, getting a good feeling, and she missed her floor and had to go back down. At the back of my mind I was thinking "this is your chance", but I totally missed it in the few seconds I had left. I maintained my frame and politely left the elevator on a high note, but since this is the end of term, chances are that's my last shot.

I'm still new to the game, and naturally my head takes longer to process stuff than others do. Do you guys have any tips on how to get onto your game quicker and react to fast situations like that?
