You’re onto something. But say you’re in an office setting at work and someone says something coy about it in a group, it’s not a direct confrontation but it’s obvious they’re dissing it and a few people look at you for a response.
Say you’re around the lunch table and the talk is going, blah blah cunt coworker says well at least it’s more original than a tribal tattoo. How do you respond? Saying something along those lines is great for a direct confrontation but will seem butthurt and defensive in that scenario.

He probably was salty, he got rejected by a 5 at the end of the night, go figure. I’ve not met him again so it’s probably a one off. However in say an office setting where it might be more competitive you can’t really ignore someone, and they’re often more clever about it, saying some snake comment hinting at it or something like that where it’s obvious they’re talking about you but it’s not a direct confrontation.
