Having recently begun swallowing the pill, I initially started work on the mental side of TRP theory (Quick sidenote: I am about 3/4 through Mark Manson's "models".... Darn so much truth). Now I want to start on the physical side.

I am about 6'4" (I am Dutch though, and almost all males are >6ft here), and slightly overweight at 200lbs. I lost about 7lbs in the last month already, through fully cutting out snacks and soda and walking about 6 miles every day instead of casually cycling/taking the bus (free public transport for students makes you lazy).

I want to get into lifting, however one thing is seriously hindering me: I am in one of the toughest (some say toughest) university undergraduate programs in my country (Aerospace Engineering, to be specific) and my days are usually made up of taking the train around 7 and coming back home around 19:30. Leaving almost no time to sufficiently go to a gym (also, membership fees are through the roof here). Thus I want to get into home training, and as many people say here, free lifting.

I am currently at a zero level in regards to arm strength (leg strength is fine, I did a lot of swimming & cycling back in the day and can proudly say that I am unable to fit in skinny jeans) and I am looking to buy into some dumbbells in order to train at home.

If anyone could give me pointers or concrete advice on where to get started, it'd be greatly appreciated.
