I glance and see if she's checking me out. If so, I say hey. Make small talk. Play, tease, joke. Then grab a number or just go for it.

Practice makes perfect. It's a numbers game. Some will love you. Some won't. Doesn't matter.

I think that escalating is big enough indication of interest. I don't think saying upfront that you're interested or "inviting for a date" is a good idea. Puts too much pressure and might scare a girl away. Just take her out to have fun "and let things happen".
