I know people here have some knowledge, and it kind of relates to RP in the way of careers, but not entirely. Regardless, I've spent the last 10 minutes attempting to find a more appropriate subreddit to no avail.
I'm going into sixth form (It would be the last 2 years of HS in US, it's a seperate thing in UK) and I pick 4 A-Levels to study, drop all the others.
I think I'm relatively secure with the other three. I've got Biology because, regardless of whether it's a good choice for career or not, it's by far my favorite therefore I'm doing it. Secondly I've got Maths (I hope I pass, need an A, I studied hard though) because it's generally good and opens a lot of doors. Thirdly I've got physics because I enjoy physics generally and, combined with maths, it opens a big possible career path up in engineering.
The final one is a difficult one though, which is why I'm posting here. I've narrowed it down to either Business Studies or Economics. I could do Chemistry but I'm not that great at it and I don't really feel like spending 2 years just doing science and math quite yet, it would make a nice wildcard hopefully combined with maths (Plus I feel it would be far more applicable at A-Level standard, whereas I think you'd need a degree for the others to be very applicable in STEM).
If possible I'd like to see anyone who knows what they're talking about's thoughts on Economics vs Business Studies, what helps with what, etc, etc, since I can't really find it. Would Business Studies just be applying to businesses or managing of them and economics would branch into sales, accounting, etc?
