I suck at asking for help, I feel like I should be able to solve all of life's problems on my own.

Rationally I understand this is a silly fallacy.

I just finished reading "No More Mr. Nice Guy"

Fuck, that book hits soo close to home.

I grew up feeling like my needs didn't matter. I grew up ignoring my needs.

And now I am paying for it.

I have this feeling that I have to hide my true self, that I have something to be ashamed of. I definitely have sexual shame.

But when I objectively look at my lifes accomplishments, I can truly say I am an amazing person.

I am the sum of my habits/actions.

26 years old.

Lifting for 2.5 years CONSISTENTLY 3 days a week.

50K Salary - 40 Hours a week. (But I work at a job that I do not enjoy. Seriously contemplating the military US Coast Guard, to switch up my life.)

Undergraduate Degree - SChool of Business - Info Systems.

Yoga 2x week.

I prep my meals every Sunday (Chicken or fish), still battling with Body fat. But I look Good.

I love to dance and write. I am on a performance salsa team. Just getting back into writing, slam poetry.

I do Toastmasters, for about a year now.

Martial arts for about 3-4 years now. Wing Chun.

I do not write this to come off bragging or seeking validation.

(I promise you I dont: If anything please tell me objectively where you think I can improve)

But I honestly have found that just writting down my feelings, has helped so much these past couple of days.

I wrote all of this because I understand that I need to be 100% honest with myself and those around me.

I heard Jordan B. Peterson say that honesty/truth is liberating, and I am starting to understand this.

I wrote this post, for selfish reasons: to help myself.

But I would like to just talk to some people, on how they overcame this feeling of depression/inadequacy.
