You said she's looking for a relationship. She wants to know if you'll hang out with her without sex. Don't listen to the birthday thing, she's not going to say the real reason because she doesn't want to look needy.

She may be implying that you are only getting sex with a relationship. Sexual desire is mostly emotional not logical. What you can do is lay on your charms and seduce her.
